Thank you，Danjian-our beautiful land
I would like to express my tremendous gratitude to the Danjiang Government for giving us the opportunity to pen down an extraordinary period of our lives，the one filled with happiness and sadness and the one that impacted and shaped who we are today.
In 1969，at the height of the Cultural Revolution"s turmoil，my family，like thousands of others，was forced to leave our home city Beijing.My beloved father was sent to work in a labor camp at Xianning，Hubei province.I，a little third grader，accompanied my mother，older brother and two grandmothers to Danjiang，Hubei province.The heartbreaking circumstances brought us to Danjiang.But Danjiang embraced us with its open arms.The city was poor at the time，but it gave us the richest spiritual inheritance.The two years at Danjiang left the most treasurable memories.
I miss my wonderful teachers at Danjiang Yue Jin Men Elementary School，where I spent three precious years of my childhood.You didn"t just teach me from the book，you helped me to develop my potentials and nourish my strengths.You joyfully used yourselves as bridges over which you assisted me to cross and to realize my dream.Now with you as my role models，I use myself as a bridge and help my students to cross and to reach their brightest future.
I love Danjiang reservoir.It was the place where I went so often during the burning heat of the summer，and a place where I could escape all the worries and dare to dream.When I swam along your wave，you lifted me high to boost my spirit.When I swam against your tide， you pushed me down to test my strength.It was you that fostered my positive attitude to meet the life"s challenges.
I would like to dedicate my love to the people who surrounded me with love，laugh，and kindness during those two years at Danjiang：
To my beloved father Kaiyuan You， wherever you are，your guiding hand on my shoulder will remain with me forever.To the world you may be just one person，but to me you are the world.
To my beloved mother Huanliang Hou，your unconditional love，your unselfish sacrifice for me and our family are priceless.All that I am today，I owe it to you.
To my beloved brother Guohong You，we were together to face whatever life sends：joy and laughter or tears and strife.We will always hold hands tightly as we dance through life.
To my beloved grandmothers Minghe Hu and Shihua Niu，if wrinkles had to be written on your brow，they were not written on your heart；your garden of love for me never grew old.
To my dearest childhood friends Jingbin Dong，Hao Zhang，Xiaonan Chen，Qi Huang，Gang Bai，Xiaojie Huang，Xiaoyuan Wan，Xiaochuan Chen，Munu Yuan，Xiaomu Yuan，and Xiaonan Yuan，I was so lucky to have known you.In the time of hardship，you cheered me up and touched my heart.Our shared laugh got me through the bad times and helped me enjoyed the good times.
To the great people at Danjiang， your warmth，compassion and generosity left a footprint in my heart.
Finally，this memoir gives us a unique opportunity to look back of a historical moment in our lives so that we could rekindle our spirit to look forward for an ever brighter future. Thank you，Thank you，Danjiang Government and thank you Danjiang people.I wish Danjiang a forever thriving economy and prosperous life.The tie between Danjiang and Beijing is stronger than ever.

首先，我要对丹江口市人民政府表达我无比的感谢之情。感谢她们给予了我一段刻骨铭心的生活经历，正是这段悲喜交织的经历影响和塑造了今天的我。
1969年，正值“文革”骚乱的高峰期，和成千上万个中国家庭一样，我被迫离开了我的家乡北京。我亲爱的父亲被派至湖北省咸宁“五七”干校丹江分校工作。我，一个三年级的学生，随同我的祖母、外祖母、母亲以及哥哥来至湖北省丹江。悲痛的环境迫使我们来到丹江，她却用张开的双手拥抱了我们。那时，丹江城很贫穷，但是她却给予了我们最富有的精神财富。两年的丹江生活给我留下了很多珍贵的回忆。
我是在跃进门小学度过我宝贵童年的。我想念那里的老师们。他们不仅仅教会我书本知识，更帮助我发展潜能，充实了我的心灵。他们就像是一座座架起的桥梁，帮助我实现我的理想。他们是我的榜样，如今，我把自己也当成是一座桥，我要帮助我的学生们，帮助他们走向明天的辉煌！
我热爱丹江口水库。在炎热的夏天里那是我经常去的地方。那是一个能让我忘掉所有忧愁和尽情畅想的地方。当我顺着浪花游泳时，波浪让我情绪高涨。当我迎着浪花前行时，波浪将我打压，挑战我的气力。正是在那里培养了我迎接生活挑战的积极态度。
我要对那些年里在我身边给予了我爱、欢笑和热心的所有人们表达我最真挚的爱！
我亲爱的父亲——尤凯源，您曾搭着我的肩指引过我的手，无论您在哪，我都将与您同在。对世界来说，您只是一个人，但对我来说，您却是整个世界。
我亲爱的母亲——侯焕良，您对我无条件的爱，对我和家庭无私的奉献是无价的。只要我还活着，我就永远亏欠您！
我亲爱的哥哥——尤国宏，我们曾一起面对生活给予我们的一切，无论快乐、欢笑还是眼泪、痛苦，我们将紧握双手共同舞完人生！
我亲爱的祖母——胡明荷和刘石花，皱纹虽然刻在你们的额头，却不能刻在你们的心上。你们对我的爱永远不会变老！
我亲爱的童年伙伴们——董京滨，张浩，陈小楠，黄齐，白刚，黄晓捷，万小元，陈小川，袁牧女，袁小牧和袁小楠，非常幸运地认识了你们。在那些艰难的日子里，是你们触及了我的内心一直激励着我。欢乐的笑声伴我度过了最艰难的时刻，也帮我记住了很多美好的时光。
丹江伟大的人民，你们的温暖、怜悯与慷慨在我心里烙下了深深的印记。
最后，这段记忆给我提供了一个无与伦比的回顾过往生活经历的机会。它能使我振作精神迎接更加光明的未来。感谢您，丹江政府！感谢您，丹江人民！我祝愿丹江经济繁荣，人民生活富足！丹江和北京之间的关系较以往也更加亲密！
