关于护照的学问
护照是鉴定其持有人作为一国公民的旅行证件。护照还要求别国给其持有人以安全通过权并给予各种合法的帮助与保护。有时在获准进入想去的国家之前，护照还必须有签证(官方签署的证明)。
一般来说，政府签发三种护照：(1)外交护照，发给出国执行政府重要任务者；(2)公务护照，发给其他政府职员；(3)普通护照，发给因私出国旅行者。
许多国家不要求某些其他国家公民持有护照。例如，美国公民在进入百慕大、加拿大、墨西哥及大部分西印度群岛时就不需持有护照。

登机时需要经历的几个程序
出发那天，你得至少提前一小时到达机场，去你乘坐的民航或其他航空公司的登机台(checkin counter)办理有关手续。将机票和护照交给办事员检查，并同时将行李过磅。如果超重，你得付超重费(overweight fee)。在登机台，你将领到登机牌(boarding card)和行李牌(baggage claim tag)。
当听到广播通知后，由指定的通道(gate)进入机场。此时得经过安全口，进行安全检查。登机后，由空姐(stewardess)引入座位。
到达美国后，你得接受海关人员(customs officer)的检查。因此，必须填好报关单(customs declaration form)，出示防疫注射证明(inoculation certificate)和护照。行李取出后，交出报关单，接受行李检查。

关于“wreck”一词的用法
