Stake of the“Sky Garden”

Machu Picchu is built on the cliffs above the ancient city, known as “sky garden”.

Ancient ruins of Machu Picchu is Peru’s most spectacular tourist destination, the discovery of Machu Picchu changed the fate of Peru’s tourism industry and thousands of visitors come each year to see the castle style.

A large number of tourists flocked to directly endanger the environment of Machu Picchu. Those carrying tourists down the mountain on a large number of small bus exhaust emissions, has seriously affected the ancient ruins of the environment. At the same time, booming tourism industry also brought the continuous expansion of the surrounding towns, the protection of ancient sites causing serious problems.

Machu Picchu is facing the danger of landslides, which could be destroyed. Near Machu Picchu last year, the town called “hot water landslides with more than a dozen people killed. The ancient ruins of Machu Picchu growing cracks under the surface also makes people have to be more worried about its safety.

The United Nations cultural management has made it clear that as soon as possible if the Peruvian government does not take protective measures for Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu will be included in the list of endangered sites.

Later, the Peruvian government recently proposed a $ 70 million pounds emergency rescue plan to protect Machu Picchu and the nearby national park.

In 1981, Machu Picchu around 32,592 hectares of land is listed as Peru’s “Historic Preservation District”. This area includes not only the ruins themselves, but also the nearby landscape and flora and fauna, especially the local production of orchids. Here is the most beautiful “base” in the entire territory of the Inca Empire.
