Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World 照耀世界的自由女神
There is a free island in the New York City harbor in the United States, where stands a huge statue called the“the International Monument of the Statue of Liberty”. The official name is “Liberty Enlightening the World” and the local Chinese called her “the Statue of Liberty”.
The Statue of Liberty was completed by Bartholdi, a famous French sculptor for 10 years of hard work. In 1876, the French presented it to the United States as a gift to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the victory of the War of Independence for the United States from British rule.
The Statue of Liberty is a great attraction in New York Harbor. The Goddess is graceful, standing straight ahead and holding a torch aloft in the air. When the night comes, the lights inside get bright, and the searchlights from the ground of the small island make the Statue of Liberty more luminous and spectacular.
The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of the United States, a symbol of friendship between the people of America and France and of the American people’s lofty ideals of freedom. It is also a symbol of the American people’s pursuit of a better life.

我站在金门口,
高举起自由的灯火!
